Seven years ago, then U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard wrote on Twitter: “The United States needs to stay out of Venezuela. Let the Venezuelan people determine their future. We don’t want other countries to choose our leaders—so we have to stop trying to choose theirs.”
Now, as Director of National Intelligence in the Trump administration, Tulsi Gabbard is a key part of the U.S. overthrow of the Venezuelan government and the kidnapping of the Venezuelan President and his wife and the deaths of at least 40 persons in Venezuela.
During her 2018 congressional re-election campaign, she warned of “regime-change wars”: “Every dollar spent on interventionist regime-change wars is a dollar not spent on education, health care, infrastructure and a myriad of other needs so desperately needed right here at home.”
“We are spending trillions of dollars on unnecessary interventionist wars that do not serve the interests of the American people—money that should be spent on investing in infrastructure, affordable housing, education, health care and other priorities here at home,” Gabbard said in 2018.
In 2019, Gabbard said: “Leaders in this country from both political parties looking around the world and picking and choosing which bad dictator they want to overthrow. Sending our military into harm’s way and then trying to export some American model of democracy that may or may not be welcome by the people in those countries, and it’s proven to have been a failure.”
As far as other countries interfering in the choices of their leaders, the president who nominated Gabbard to be the Director of National Intelligence proudly states that his endorsement of a candidate in the presidential election in Honduras helped a right-wing candidate get elected in a still-contested election, as well as candidates in Chile and Argentina. So much for not choosing leaders of other countries.
In a 2019 interview with NPR, Gabbard said, “I think that the outsized power that the political parties hold can often be used in the wrong way to squelch our democracy and dissenting voices even within our own party.” But, she said, she has never considered leaving the Democratic Party…until she did for Trump’s party, which is doing the same.

Postoje trenuci u povijesti kada se slučajnosti počnu ponašati kao loše laži. Ponavljaju se, usklađene su i postaju previše precizne da bi ostale nevine. Najnoviji masovni napad na Ukrajinu otvara upravo takav prostor sumnje. Satima prije nego što su nebo nad Kijevom i Lavovom presjekle eksplozije, upozorenje je već bilo izrečeno. Ne općenito, ne diplomatski maglovito, nego gotovo programski. Volodimir Zelenski je govorio o velikom napadu koji dolazi, a onda je došao. Brzinom, intenzitetom i geografijom koje su se poklopile do nelagode.
Naravno, službena objašnjenja postoje. Obavještajni rad, sateliti, presretanje komunikacija. Sve to stoji. No, kada se upozorenja ponavljaju s takvom točnošću, kada se zna ne samo da će udariti nego i otprilike čime i gdje, tada se rađa hipoteza koju nitko ne želi izgovoriti naglas. Što ako Ukrajina ne “pogađa” buduće poteze Rusije, nego ih zna unaprijed jer su već negdje, iznad karte svijeta, precrtani dogovorima velikih?
Ruska verzija priče dodatno dolijeva ulje na vatru apsurda. Osveta za napad na rezidenciju Vladimir Putina. A onda, kao u kazalištu sjena, slijedi demonstracija sile: hipersonični projektil Orešnik, lansiran s poznate lokacije, putanja koja se gotovo demonstrativno ne skriva i brzina koja se teatralno ističe. Poruka je poslana, ali kome točno? Ukrajini, koja je već bila u skloništima, ili nekom trećem, daleko izvan dometa sirena?
Ovdje dolazimo do najosjetljivijeg dijela ove analize, koji mora ostati u zoni hipoteze, ali ozbiljne hipoteze. U svijetu u kojem međunarodne norme pucaju kao tanko staklo, a planeta se ponovno dijeli na interesne zone, ideja da Rusija i Sjedinjene Američke Države vode paralelne ratove i paralelne pregovore više ne zvuči kao teorija zavjere iz mračnih kutaka interneta.
Zvuči kao hladna geopolitika. U takvom aranžmanu, Ukrajina može istovremeno biti žrtva i informirani sudionik, netko tko plaća strašnu cijenu, ali unaprijed zna kada mora povući glavu, a kada poslati poruku svijetu.
Podudarnosti su ono što bode oči. Upozorenje nekoliko sati prije udara. Točno prepoznavanje eskalacije. Spominjanje balističkih projektila, a zatim njihova stvarna uporaba.
Lavov, daleko od prve crte, ali nikada izvan simbolike. Sve to pojedinačno može imati racionalno objašnjenje. Zajedno, tvore obrazac koji je statistički gotovo nemoguć ako se oslanjamo samo na intuiciju i sreću.
Ova analiza ne tvrdi da postoji tajni sporazum ispisan na salveti u nekom neutralnom gradu. Ona tvrdi nešto suptilnije i opasnije, da živimo u vremenu u kojem se ratovi vode pred kamerama, ali se njihovi okviri dogovaraju izvan kadra.
Ako je to istina, tada nas ne treba najviše plašiti Orešnik, njegova brzina ili domet. Treba nas plašiti spoznaja da su sudbine gradova, pa i čitavih država, možda već unaprijed raspoređene u tišini ureda gdje se ne čuju sirene, ali se vrlo dobro čuju interesi.

Tulsi and Pam are only there to roll around in bed with Trump because Melania clearly doesn’t want to anymore.
The Alawites obeyed Putin and betrayed Syria. I hope that God’s just punishment will befall them. For Tulsi, I’m sure that when Trump’s term ends, she will get a proper punishment from the Democrats. All this is the fault of Putin and his attempt to get Turkey out of NATO. Trust me: Putin can pay and make concessions to Trump and Erdogan as much as he wants. He will not be able to destroy NATO. But he destroyed Syria, and if God exists, traitorous Russia will soon be destroyed as well.
